You asked, so I went to work. I took that challenge to both Gemini and Claude, two expert AI instructors who never sleep, and combined their output with the lessons from this week's article and added instructional design principles learned while obtaining my Master's degree in Instructional Technology and Education from Virginia Tech.
The result is two documents. The AI Literacy Quick Start, https://www.loweintelligence.com/p/ai-literacy-quick-start think of it as the picture on the box of your newly purchased IKEA furniture that you think you can assemble without the step-by-step instructions. The furniture will look like furniture but the drawers may not close correctly. The 30-Day Plan is the step-by-step instructions you finally pick up only after assembling the same drawer wrong three times. https://www.loweintelligence.com/p/30-day-ai-literacy-plan
From a Substack comment to a fully developed ADDIE-compliant AI training curriculum in less than 24 hours. That should be proof enough of what introducing AI into your daily workflow can do.
Since this courseware has not existed for 30 days, it should be obvious I have not completed it in sequence. However, every technique comes from methods I have used in my own workflows and from my AI coursework and certifications. It was developed through human-in-the-loop collaboration, reviewed and refined at every step, which is exactly what the plan itself teaches. The time estimates have not been verified and are guestimates at best.
Loved today’s read! I wonder what AI would say about how to reduce the literacy gap?
